For more than two decades, I have followed my passion for teaching movement and Pilates to a wide range of clients worldwide. Whether my clients are rehabilitating from injuries, focusing on increasing their fitness, seeking to improve their athletic performance, or exploring the advanced Pilates work, I am passionate about helping them reach their goals with Pilates.
I was drawn to studio-based Pilates in 2009 while living in Denmark after the birth of my second child. In 2010, I started Comprehensive Pilates Training in London with Body Control Pilates (BCP), Europe's largest training program. I hold additional certifications, including Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher, Master Mat Instructor, HIP (High-Intensity Power) Pilates Instructor, Classical Pilates Instructor, and Prenatal and Postnatal Pilates Teacher. My education and Pilates journey have equipped me with a versatile set of skills.
I specialize in guiding clients with orthopedic challenges, including lower back pain, Sl joint dysfunction, scoliosis, joint injuries, and post-surgery recovery. Furthermore, I am deeply committed to supporting women during pivotal life stages, including prenatal, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause. Pilates offers invaluable assistance in managing joint pains, enhancing flexibility, improving bone strength, increasing concentration, and improving sleep quality.
I welcome individuals of all backgrounds and experience levels to join me on a journey of self-improvement and physical well-being through Pilates. Whether you're rehabilitating from an injury, enhancing your fitness, aiming to boost your athletic performance, or exploring the intricacies of advanced Pilates work, I am dedicated to helping you reach your goals.
I am the proud mom of two active teenagers who keep me on my toes!
I hold an MBA from East Carolina University and a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology/Kinesiology from the University of Georgia, USA, where I specialized in Cardiac Rehabilitation. I started my career in Cardiac Rehabilitation at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. After training with the Mind Body Institute at Harvard Medical School, I started to integrate my knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation with Hatha Yoga mindfulness and exercise rehabilitation. I incorporated these skills into the medical fitness programs offered at the Duke Health and Fitness Center in Durham, NC, where I served as the director.
I have presented Pilates Teacher Workshops since 2014 in Brazil, UK, and USA. I am currently a CEC Provider for the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP). I love combining the principles of kinesiology and biomechanics into the Pilates Method and sharing it with others.
